Dr Vincent J. Rossi

During the fellowship with Dr. Choi you will be exposed to cutting edge minimally invasive techniques. You will learn anterior column techniques including lumbar arthroplasty, OLIF and lateral ALIF. You will learn robotic surgery and single position surgery. You will gain exposure to unilateral biportal endoscopic (UBE) spine surgery. You will be able to practice your clinical decision making with extensive time seeing patients in the clinic.

During the fellowship you will have the opportunity to travel and pursue educational opportunities. I was fortunate to travel to Korea to observe endoscopic spine surgery with Dr Choi. Dr. Choi provides you with a company car with his logo which is extremely helpful to travel between the hospitals and clinics.

With Dr Choi you will also learn the non-clinical aspects of spine surgery. He will show you how to become involved with innovation and teaching with his many industry connections. You will have the opportunity to explore Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula during your down time. His clinics are located in a beautiful area with nice beaches, wineries, and restaurants and entertainment.

This is an incredible fellowship that will prepare any surgeon to practice the most advanced minimally invasive techniques anywhere in the world. This fellowship will be instrumental to the way I practice spine surgery in my career.
